I think you can probably add most of the Namakwa national park coastal campsites in there. None of them have electricity or water but have eco loo longdrops. Ussualy 5 or 6 sites together and only accessible with 4x4 through the thick sand. I think they fall under Northern Cape.

Then thereís a couple of more rustic campsites in the Gamtoos valley and Baviaanskloof that is very rustic. You can see the neighboring stand, although I have yet to see other people there since the campsites are either unknown or are not advertised at all.
Thanks! Do you have campsite names of the Gamtoos and Baviaanskloof ones so I can post it here please?

    Thanks for the effort Christoff.

Mabalingwe on the other side of Brits has 6 x bush camps up against the mountain. No water, no power a short walk to ablutions.

Yellow Wood in Morgans Bay Eastern Cape has non electrified sites.

A "bush camp" I take it is somewhere with no water or electricity?

Let's say campsites that are as natural, off the grid as possible and at the very least separated from each other (i.e. not the traditional shared camp ground setups).

So not necessarily without water (but probably yes, preferably no electricity)

You can add to Richtersveld / Namakwa eco Trail: (Northern Cape)
    Gamgab
    Tierkloof
    Rigtersberg
    Kokerboomkloof (If not already listed)
De Hoop IS in the Richtersveld (Maybe there are two De Hoop sites?

I think there is some confusion here as to what comprises a "bush camp" and what does not, but we get the general idea.
    Good initiative.

Hi Peter, Bokmakierrie campsite is actually on Ragels Rivier Guest lodge , check it out on google. In the Kouga mountainswe have been there , very nice , and a very nice drive over some rough gravel mountain passes to get there, in winter the sun only shines in the camp site to charge batteries via solar panel for about 3 hours max. and a bonus, damn cold too, port and sherry are one's best friends

There are a few in the Free State, actually any omie with a farm will let you bush camp if you ask nicely in afrikaans, we did one near Fouriesburg, called Shumba had elec and water but the bottom sites not, then outside Parys there are also a few.

Love the idea and initiative Christof and enjoyed your you tube ones that are up, check out our blog too, Shumba should be there.

    Keep up the good work!
