    Default XJ refurb

I am busy refurbing my XJ, looking at a mat army green or flat gunship grey colour. Oh and if someone knows about a set of 5 inch steelies please pm me.

Check with your local taxi spares/tyre outlet. Toyota Hiace Siyaya taxis have the same PDC as XJs. Prowhite steelies, just need to find the correct offset.

Haha, ja the 5 inch steelies would be a bit to low Meant to say 15x5x114, preferably 8J, but 7J`s would also do.

Down here in civilization.... aka The Western Cape, you can kick a set of genuine steelies out under every second bush. In fact, I have a set lying in my store room. But getting it to you might not be worth the cost. The biggest problem though, is the original Jeep XJ steelies' center cap.

The flatter center caps, as was used on the KJ's, do fit as well, and is less prone to damage off-road.

I'd suggest you keep an eye on Gumtree as steelies surface there from time to time.

Update on progress, looks like the respray and assembly will be done by Friday. Found a set of white steelies and had them sprayed black. Fabrication of bumpers will take place this weekend.

Ok so the XJ is back from bodyshop, next to be fitted will be the new front and back bumpers. If anyone knows of aluminum beading strips for the bottom part of the windows please let me know as well ass the bottom window rubbers.

Fabricating aftermarket steel bumpers. The color was mixed from a factory Jeep grey to where it is now.
