Default Windows tablet for Base Camp

Are there any cheap Windows tablets which are worth buying for Base Camp?
Cheap = under around R4 000 not looking at Surface Pro's!

    Honestly,

I'd rather get something like this, if portability is a must.

Upgrade the RAM to at least 4gb, and upgrade the storage to 120gb.

Do any of the cheaper laptops contain a GPS?

The Garmin GLO is available now, don't think you get the GPS10 anymore. It will set you back a couple of rands. I have set up the older GPS10 on a Windows 10 tablet to work with the very old nRoute software from Garmin.

A tablet will be easier to mount than a laptop, unless the laptops screen can rotate and flat facing up. This is of course if you want to or need to navigate with it. Otherwise, the laptop, as shown above, will be great for travelling. Click image for larger version.

Ahhh okey I see where you're going with this. Hmmm that's a question. I'm not sure, I'll have to have a look. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of one. Apart from the price, why not use an iPad? Don't Garmin make Mac versions of the software?

In my experience, the Windows tablets I've used, and seen, are horrible.

I have done a quick search and found these ( https://www.lifewire.com/laptop-computer-gps-1683681) units that can be used with your laptop. For T4A you will have to use the Garmin units. Otherwise any of the other should work.

Close to your price. I note that is a ruggedised tablet i.e dust proof water resistant etc
