Default Tentco senior Bow tent question

Evening. Iím keeping my eyes open for a new tent(s). I have a coleman weatherman tent. Itís awesome , but I am looking for something a bit more sturdy. Looking for something for me and the missus and our 2 daughters.

Iíve been looking at the tentco as an option. One for mum and me and one for the girls. Itís a good brand and not to expensive . Maybe getting the connector between the two layer on.

So my question....how long does it take to pitch the bow tents? Cause as soon as we stop the kids disappear like most be fire the sun and mum feels that dadís an idiot. So I want to know how long before I can open a cold one and relax

We also looked at the Tentco Senior.

In the end bought Bushtec Nomad. Thicker gauge canvass and better price.

Still have to do the 'put it up'exercise

About 15 min to pitch, of which 5 is to assemble the steel poles.

With 2 people it takes about 15 minutes to assemble each (one person holds the steel frame above their head and the other clips the steel poles in)

I have 2 x Tencto Senior Bow tents, purchased in 2013.

They are awesome, never as much a leak or an issue.

We are really careful not to step on the outside canvas while assembling / disassembling and ensure the are cleaned and dry before storing.

We can fit 3 adults and 1 child in a single tent, for the longer trips I put up the 2 tents.

    No regrets with the purchase.

Basically my only requirements for a tent is that I should be able to stand up right inside and I donít want to take an extra day just to assemble. I usually rate them on a hangover scale (when I was still young and dumb, now Iím just dumb). Where it goes from : ď yeah letís quickly do thisĒ, with a hangover to ďdo we really need a tent, letís leave this one for the next camperĒ

I like Tentco as a brand.
There is back-up service and spares are available.
I have their Senior Gazebo and Bundu.
Friends with their tents have zero problems.

I would have gone for either of the Tentco, Campmore (I think it is) or Bushtec tents - they're all great brands.

I found the Bushtec Gemsbok 3x3 tent on special and decided to buy it. The gazebo on the front is pretty nifty (but it's loose so you don't have to use it). Played around with it a bit (only going camping with it later this month) and not too rough to set up. Takes about 15 minutes to set up with 2 people. One person can disassemble it.
Only gnarly bit is fitting it in the bag again afterwards - I couldn't get it to fit.

I usually struggle with the bag. But only for the first couple of times. Then I throw it away and ratchet strap the whole damn thing together

The Tentco bags are fortunately more than ample, sturdy with serious zips and big enough not to sukkel. I don't do the sukkel thing so I love the Tentco setup.

I've got the Tentco Senior Safari Bow Tent and its great but I would recommend a 2 x Tentco Junior Wanderer Bow Tent for your setup.

It's lighter and not as high (1.8 vs 2.2) which make things like transport and pitching the tent a lot easier.

Setup time for a canvas bow tent is about 15 minutes without and 30 minutes with beers.

The only plus for the Tentco Senior Safari Bow Tent is the 3x3m space which comes in handy to store stuff if you don't have any other cover like a gazebo.

4 People in a Tentco Senior Safari Bow Tent will be cramped even if two are children.

I recently bought a Tentco Junior Safari, and it fits 2 x stretchers perfectly, with a decent gap in between. Perfect for 2 adults or 2 kids.

I'd also go with 2 of these rather...

I have the Tentco Senior. That is the 3m x 3m one.
Personally for me it is too big, too heavy and you need to be 2 persons to get it up.
The 2,5m x 2,5m should be just as big but easier to get up.
