Default Some legal advice needed pls...

I know this may be dangerous territory but I need to ask.

A co-worker recently traded his Foton in on a Nissan dc.

All paper work signed. He took delivery of the vehicle nearly 3 weeks ago.

The outstanding amount on the Foton hasn't been settled. A payement has since gone off AND the vehicle has since been sold.....

    First question:
    1. Is it possible/legal for a vehicle to have two loans/financing on it by two different parties?

    2. No joy so far from the dealer. What now?

    Your opinions will be appreciated.

He needs to get this to his finance bank immediately.

Depending on whether he is dealing with legit guys or crooks, it could be fine. When I traded in the Landy on the Beamer, same happened, but they explained it would take time as the deal happened right before Christmas, like 2 days, so in the end I got a payment that was made to the Landy back from my financing house.

On the other hand, if the "dealer" is one of those who did not settle the car, and probably isn't going to, then your friend needs to phone the financing house and find out what to do.

It's what I suggested and he's done so.

The bank will now be following up with the dealership.

    It's a big, reputable company.

I think someone is just not doing their job.
