Default Newbie wants to go to Zimbabwe

    Hi
My name is Carlos and I'm new to this forum. I'm wanting to go to Zimbabwe, does anyone have any insight or recent experiences? I would to go and see the ruins of the great Zimbabwe. Is it safe to go now?

Zim is always fairly safe, but at the moment they are in a fuel crisis, long queues at filling stations . Theres no money in the country, politicians have shyphoned it all off into their foreign accounts. I would wait a while, at least until fuel situation normalises .

Just returned from a 3 week trip to Zim. I went to Victoria Falls and then to my place at Msuna and Mlibizi.
Ok I flew in but still drove around. Things are expensive and there are certain shortages at the moment but no huge crisis that should keep you from visiting.
It is worth the visit and is safe. The people are friendly and will bend over backwards to make your visit pleasant.
In my honest opinion, I wouldn't hesitate to take another trip to Zim.

    Safe yes !

Zim Ruins are only 300km from Musina, so if you are only planning on going there and back you should be able to make it.

Thank you for welcoming me and the good wishes. I'm still in the planning stages for this trip.
