I am always hesitant to buy a high mileage turbo diesel and was advised, by various indies and BMW dealers to rather go petrol at that point. I had a budget of R120k with not much to spare for repairs if needed. Hence my desicion, which I belive has turned out to be a good one.

I service from Windhoek to East London (based in Cape Town) so was looking for a safe and comfortable long distance vehicle and this one ticked all the boxes. Cannot wait to upgrade to newer model auto deisel as my budget has improved to around the R250k mark.

Iíve had 3 yes, both in and out of warranty, none without problems.

Iím not negative, they are wonderful cars to drive. But Iím very realistic about the maintenance side of things.

Itís not a basket case, but itís no Corolla when it comes to maintenance.

Bought from Auto Atlantic at about 90k km and they threw in a extended service plan, but has to be serviced by them. So i have done about 60k km that cost me zero, but the next service or maintenance will be for my own pocket. Might go to local Indy in the Winelands going fwd.

Same here, was very tempted to go diesel but somehow got spooked by the injectors & turbo horror stories - at least with the 2L Auto petrol I figured what could go wrong?

The 320d is an awesome car though, I'd like to try the Diesel in X-drive guise next - Time will tell..

Don't give up, you have a to kiss a couple of frogs to find your "prince"

They are out there, keep looking and be patient. I must have test driven at least a dozen of them until I found mine.
