Default Fridge Slider 80L Engel Combo

    Good day.
Does anyone know...what is the best fitting Fridge Slider for a 80L Engel Combo...I donít want to waste any space.
Also are there any sliders out there with weak or inferior bearings...?

    TIA

Have a look at the Gobi X range. They are a local company (Brackenfell) and make fridge sliders in 3 sizes. Available from 4x4direct.

Just be careful when buying a slide for engel, engel is bit wider then most fridges, and the engel's wiring plug on the side which can interfere with the mountings of the slide especially a drop slide. Somehow the local manufacturers dont take that in account.

I know the fruntrunner one works for a engel.

Very true. I bought my slide specifically a bit wider for that reason, and that gave me the space needed to install the drag chain for the cable:

    Thank you Sam.
R&D did all the work on my Fortuner and now they are doing a full upgrade on my Land Cruiser 76...hence the need for info on the slider.
If the Gobi-X fits Iíll use that otherwise I need to olan for something else.
But the most important thing is I need to make sure it can handle the weight of the 80L....donít want to be somewhere remote and have slider issues of all things.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks for the info!
Going for a standard straight slide....but yeah thatís the one thing about the ENGEL that is a hassle...the plug point is in a poor location.

    Thanks for the info.

I have got the Desert Armour fridge slide.
My 80lt Engel fits in it perfectly, not a fridge/freezer, just a fridge, not sure if they are the same size.

This is a 60l fridge on a Large Gobi-X slider. Not much space on the sides.

The dimensions are availble on 4x4Direct's site.

    Build quality is good.
