More often than not, that is how a vehicle make gets a bad reputation, through useless "technicians"

Land Rover Defender + Honda Element Mashup Is So Wrong, It’s Right: https://sports.yahoo.com/land-rover-...133354216.html

    "A perfect front end swap.

The new Land Rover Defender is finally here and after decades of selling the same design, the Defender finally had to contend with modern design influences. The new defender promises to bring the classic rugged Defender into the modern age blending cutting-edge tech with timeless durability. The exterior design of the new Defender has caused the greatest stir and today’s rendering will certainly keep this conversation going.

The team over at car front swaps has made their mark on the new Land Rover Defender grafting the front end of the Honda Element on to the front of the Defender. The results are surprisingly cohesive which is probably not something Defender fans want to hear right now. But there’s no denying that the front end of the Honda Element looks right at home on the Land Rover Defender matching the rest of the design seamlessly."

    Reduced power fault on dash.

A hose came loose and melted the retaining clip.

Land Rover couldn't find the fault or fix it but the guy who made the video could.

apparently the petrol model comes with a petrol particulate filter. Was not aware that it did. In any event not a great advert for the new defender

Not good publicity to remove the video. I watched it and the person was factual and still loving his car. I donít know if I will get a new Land Rover!

For me the issue was not so much the problem with the car but the absolutely hopeless response from LR. The owner identified the problem in less than a minute after the agents and AA spent days on it. That is a bad reflection.

It's because they don't know how to actually look at a vehicle and try to find a fault anymore .

It's all about pulling codes now...

The days of fault finding are over you just plug in read code change sensor, the problem is if it is not the sensor then they are stumped as what to do next,
also a lot of big names hi market brands even if you can fix it you not allowed to it has to be sent back to factory the compleat part, so say a $100 part went they replace the whole component say at $1000
