Yep, go to the p400 if you have the d4 V8, and you can afford.

I just have to sell it to my other half.
Just make sure the other half pays you 100% cash upfront. Else, selling like this has never worked for me. I just ended up not getting a dime, due to alleged in-kind payments

    * Max speed 208 km/h when fitted 22 inch wheels
    ** Acceleration 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds on P 400 X models

So my first choice is the P400 but I think the more sensable choice would be the P240. On the HSE 110 there is only about R122k difference between them.
I also want to see what differences the SE has to the HSE as there is more or less R100k saving between the two.

So for me the sensible thing would be the 110 SE P240 at R1 099 500 but my heart says HSE P400 at R1 320 700 ?
So there is no 6-cylinder diesel?

I guess ....if diesels are your thing....

But for the pleasure of on road driving, I've gone off diesels. I've owned a couple, and I've decided that the decreasing power as the revs go up (to the top of the rev range), make a diesel less of a joy to drive...
Test driven the Sdv8 Range rover too, and while its mighty impressive, the petrol equivalent is still way better to drive.

Offroad? Well with high powered engines such as the 295KW 550NM, in the p400, would a diesel with even more torque make a difference?

Towing and fuel consumption...Perhaps the only areas, where the SdV8 might be better.

But no, not for me thanks. I'll take the joy of the drive 7 days a week....

There may be a straight 6 diesel in the pipeline from what Iíve read. Hopefully it will be similar to bmwís straight six.

I highly doubt that as diesels have fallen out of favour and the industry is going towards battery power. More chance of an all electric Defender.

90 Pricing just out .. and some stats.

From someone who has been to the factory and spent two days watching the productions runs, the word is that the pre-orders are disappointing.

Yes, the safety belts should have been off, but you should always have the windows open when crossing flowing water.
