    Default Is this it?

I hear the new Defender is being produced in Eastern Europe somewhere and will be released in about 15 months. First two years production going to the US.

Looks a lot like the old Defender with gutter on roof and has a G Wagon-like front look. It will be a 120 thus 10inches longer than the 110 and based on a Disco chassis with air suspension.

Who knows more and pictures please.

First I've heard about it but I predicted the use of a D3/4 chassis with a modular body.

Probably being built in the Ukraine.

Completely new platform they won't use D4.

Details are scarce but there is chance we see a revealing at Pairs motor show.

No one has seen it, just a cropped Range Rover body on the mule.

I have read that they are planning to share platforms across models. Similar to what VW did with Seat and Audi etc.
Seems the Defender will be the first one with this new shared platform perhaps

If I remember correctly the first Defender got it's chassis and drivetrain from the old Range Rover.

So it might be a next evolutionary step.

I have heard from a "reliable Land Rover source" that had a peak at one, that it will be released in October at Paris motor show.
Diesel engines from 132 kw to 200 kw all auto boxes
Some models use air suspension, with a wading depth of 900 mm
According to source , unmistakably a Defender, in shape, and a 130 is there as well.
They are in production in Slovakia as we speak, but with great secrecy, no spy pics !

Oh man, this is all just so wrong on so many levels.
What the world will get, is another crap electronic, plastic, "modular", same-platform-and-engines-as-rest-of-range window dresser.
It'll be good off-road, yeah. But it'll be like a Discovery 3 or 4 - one hard outing, and it has to spend an expensive week in the shop.

Funny.. the people I know that drives and uses them seem to be doing something really wrong as theirs never need expensive weeks in shops after hard outings.

Nevertheless.. the thing hasnt been launched yet.. so lets rather wait and see because all we now do is speculate about something we know little about

Make that 2 of us. Oh wait, i once had a shattered fan that trashed the radiator on my 110 V8 (done 150k just in Africa) from driving through the Kwai with a too hot engine. Must've been a bad quality radiator; it's never the driver.

Like the overall boxy shape. Reminds of previous range rovers or the D3 and 4, before all landies become bubble shaped
