    Thatís actually pretty impressive.

At the end of the video wheníre it rolls over, that underbelly protection looks impressive. Wonder if thatís standard.

Bang-gatte :-) Four vehicles (it seems) all with the same wheels and each one still have a second spare :-) Must say the steel wheels just look much more like business than alloys in this setting.

Not nice enough to steal Many like the white look. To me it looks cheap. I would have them sprayed an appropriate colour.

Mike N - because they want it to look more rugged and off roady by carrying a spare on the roof.

This is exactly the spec I have asked for although I may change to white. Cant wait to see them but they look great in the pictures. I know there are many haters but I think its brilliant. Certainly better for my needs than the D5 which is also great.

On the spare on tailgate issue, my experience with the Prado 150 arrangement has not been great, because over time the heavy tyre makes the door sag and squeak. I think some designs are better than others but I hope JLR gets it right so no sagging and squeaking issues long term.

But I think both cars are great and probably have near similar capabilities. It's just the looks around the D5 ...

Regarding the spare, I hear you and although never experienced it, i know the Defenders were prone to sagging. On My D1 it never sagged. Also these defenders are carrying two spares.

TBH the D5 is awesome and I have already done some brilliant trips in it. It just eats up the km and I have never owned a more comfortable vehicle. I do however worry about it being scratched on narrow tracks etc. The defender I would not worry as much. Also, Im a big guy (6ft5) so I am a little worried about the space in the drivers seat. It looks a little cramped compared to the D5 but again I could be totally wrong as I have only seen it in pictures. This is the only thing I am waiting to see before I commit 100% to taking one.

Distortion caused by wide angle camera lens and being close to the subject of the photo.

Photo is edited , check the horizontal lines on the car that dont match as well as the perspective of the wheels and size.

Can also be a camera lense.

I don't know, but to me it seems the suspension has collapsed slightly
