Same here. See you then! Just look for the source of all the drool on the floor. That'd be me

If you know people who know people, they're also handing out tickets for the launch of the new Bond Movie on the 2nd of April (it stars a couple of New Defenders)

Well.. what's the difference in capabilities, design and style between the new defender and the last incarnation of the D4?

    Cool.

I'm curious where that spare wheel will be stashed on the LWB 130 version, since it's renderings don't show it attached to the tailgate.

Will it be a bakkie-style like the previous 130, or an extended SUV?

Iím still here. Iíve tried awfully hard to like it but itís just not working guys. I spend lots of time checking new photos, stories, angles to try and entice myself, but its not for me. I also understand that we canít all like the same things, so I donít think it would be right for me to constantly yell that I donít like the new Defender. Some like it, some donít. As for the old one...

Extended SUV, according to renderings, which show no spare tyre on tailgate.

Wonder if it will be in the underside like D4.

You never know, with time, who knows, you may grow to love it. And remember, you have actually not seen it in skin. Sometimes photos and real life offer different perspective and purview.

It's a matter of taste - the white steel rims still look fugly to me - makes the vehicle look cheap - colour coded they would probably look a lot better.

I really hope so. The animosity is unbelievable. I fear for my life. I might get lynched for not liking the new Defender . Wonder if it was like this between Series 1 vs 2 / 2 vs 3 / 2 vs 110.

Funny, for me its quite the opposite...
I feel like people want to shoot me for not "getting" the old one...
Yes, it has character, but so do some of the worst cars ever built...

For me, in terms of ownership, I want the joy of the drive. I want to klap it along Long Tom pass, and enjoy the sweeping corners, with enough power to overtake GTI's safely , and then getting to destination, I want to offroad like a Land Cruiser. I want ability, and reliability. I want a plush interior with modern infotainment, and comfortable enough to use daily on a short commute. I guess I want the vehicle with THE best "on road - off road ratio"

So to that end, there are some boxes yet to be confirmed ticked, but honestly, can you see any vehicle capable of doing the above any better?

    Because I can't...
