I'd like to think the final product will look like the above while the bottom pic with the Red knob is for test mules. My reason to this is that the black facia around the knob and on the console seems to be places on top (see the curve around the volume knob) thats why the holes on the other side as well, thats why you can see the block of the know below it and its not fixed and neatly built in like the actual gear and other controls there. Have no idea what it might be for though.

The way I read it they are talking about the 2 test mules they took photos of. That specific 90 had coil springs, while that specific 110 had air suspension.

even then, who needs all the hassle of testing the vehicle for the manufacturer? I'd say wait for the first 6 months, THEN buy, by then all the first recalls and service bulletins will be out.

OBD socket. Red knob being the diagnostic communication tool, after all the car was waiting for a software down load from Gaydon. Previous screen shot on the dash did not show that tool.

Actually, they are the best, from a reliability stand point. These are the 2 years where there are ZERO crank issues because it is before the cranks were manufactured elsewhere.

yep, I had another look and it seems the crappy facia is just a dummy overlay to mask the production dash

The latest pic of the dashboard most certainly misses a section that covers the part where that temporary screen is fitted (see brackets). A look similar to the previous console pic is probably very close to the "final". Those 2 top air vents seem pretty useless though. I think one thing is for certain - that bottom console housing the gear lever. (that's if LR isn't just putting us on a wild goose chase)
