Which means 5 of the 7 seats being used.
How about new defender? What's the usable space left with all 7 seats up (behind 3rd row).

    Not official, but this listed:

"Boot space behind the second row is 1075 litres, rising to 2390 litres if the second row of seats is folded, figures that eclipse those of the seven-seat Discovery. "

Thanks Oreo, but none of them have driven it yet... Waiting in anticipation for that.

Although I don't know what the rush is, I'll only be able to afford a 2nd hand one in about 5 years' time!

The Disco is quoted as 1231 vs that 1075. Sadly this is with the second row pushed forward which is fine when your kids are still very young.

The DIsco 4 has more useable space than a5. A mate and I did a did a back to back comparison. It is easir to get more into the back of the 4 than the 5. I suspect the Defender will be the same as it is deep and rectangular.

Apologies Lou07 and Hedgehog ... speed reading led to a lack of proper comprehension of the question

I have read elsewhere that the middle row seats do not fold completely flat like the D4? The comment was that you can sleep in the back and your head would be slightly raised. If this is correct then it will be a major problem for some of the drawer systems installations.

What's the real meaning"wet" and "dry" volume exactly? Which of those translates into real life use?

Dry volume is “usable” volume. The area you can fit stuff in to.

Wet volume is the volume that can be filled by fluid. Thus, taking in to account every nook and cranny.

    Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what's the dry volume behind the third seat of the D4/D3?

I only see 280liters in online resources, and I assume this must be the wet volume.

So that's where the 130 will come in I guess.

But by and large the 110 will suit most.

I'm quite shocked. Have been looking at the New Defender pics again, after seeing the Tesla Cybertruck unveiling videos, as well as many comment videos, and ... the New Defender's styling look so AGED and BUSY and FRIVOLOUS compared to the Cybertruck! Its not only the New Defender, suddenly all bakkies and SUV's just look so pre-historic. Eish Elon, what have you done, sending convention to the scrapheap of history!

That cyber truck thing is hideous! I prefer the looks of a Hilux (and THAT says something)
