    Default mabuasehube wilderness trail SOLO

Hello, I have booked mabuasehube wilderness trail for next August 2019 and looking for another car to come along.
Anyone out there have been dreaming to go but can't find travel buddies?
If I don't find another car, will the park still allow me to go?

Maybe check you dates above carefully, you might have stated the wrong year.

    Dates sorted ...
Advertise it at the gate when entering and tell the wardens you are looking for some company.
Let me just mention the trail is not policed. The 2 vehicle rule is for your own safety should you run into trouble.
It is not guaranteed that after you there will be someone else using the trail, can be days in between - just saying

We did the the 3day Polentswa trail (up to Kaa via Sezatswe pan) and was satisfied with wildlife and scenery.

Thanks for the recommandation, sorry if it is a dum question but how do you recommend I do that? Is there a board for that?
How will anyone get in touch with me to join then? I don't think there is any network in the park, right?

PS: I already paid for two cars for the whole time

I would advise to rather stay at one pan for your first three nights, either leshoalogo, mpaya or Mabua pan.. pointless moving camp every night in the same area. Stay in one camp and let evrything soak in.. you can easily drive to the different pans during the day..I'm sure many members who have been there before will agree?

I have done the Mabua wilderness trail solo several times. I did it a while ago but cannot recall any difficult sections.

Have to agree, unless availability is a problem.
Our first trip to Mabua was for 9 nights, and we decided to split it into 3 nights at 3 different camps. While it worked, it was also hard work, and with our next trip I'll certainly cut back on moving from camp to camp.

I saw some papers stuck to the reception counter for the purpose of company on the trail.
Obviously you need to ask the officials that you are allowed to do that.

Just ask the interested party to show up on your campsite before the time to head onto the trail. Indicate your booked camps on the paper.

I've got rooftop tents so we won't save much hassle as will need to fold camp every morning anyways before going on drives...

    I'll definitly follow your advice.
Do you think rangers might see this as an issue... as officially going alone isn't allowed?

No, I don't think they will object.

I have seen the cases when the rangers were actually encouraging to join, I took a couple in myself in the early days when we were 2 vehicles and someone asked to join at the gate, the ranger gave them our campsite and they joined at Polentswa and we did the trail with 3 vehicles.
