Thanks Jors for the video, brought back a lot of adrenalin-rush memories

Great to see new footage after the rains. Difficult to say, but it appears to be slightly more challenging on That downhill .

I agree, although precision driving is a must, I would not rate C-tail as a 5.

I agree with the 4 , but I am not sure that you can do it in the reverse direction without front lockers or traction control and some momentum which might change things a bit. I would still like to see someone do it.

I have to ad that the final obstacle in C trail got a name, it was christened "Divorce gorge" of "Skei kloof" by the female occupants of the other vehicles.

I have done a recce of the next trail I am planning to make. This one will be rocky and sandy, similar to B trail, but more difficult.
I walked it through a couple of times to get an idea of the it and then made a video of a quick walk through.
Apart from 2 areas with a jumble of loose boulders where i might have to move a couple of the boulders I will not have much to do to get it ready.

Klein Pella opened up a camp site for wild camping and we are looking into 2 more possible sites.

This is the first test. We want to keep the sites pristine so we have requirements such as chemical toilets to be used and will only allow a certain frequency of use so that the area can rest.

The video i made is not very good, the light was low and my time very limited, but it gives an idea of the site.

One of the Wildcamp spots is on G trail, I will take some pictures of it. The site is huge and can handle a large group.

But I think for your next trip a wild camp at Amam is also an idea that bears consideration. That will make driving more of the dune trail a possibility.

We can maybe think of a "route" that will take us 3 days... Like joining a trail or two and Aman....

I will make sure to have H trail ready, it can be combined with F trail and the middle part of B trail. G trail is a good one for the end of the day and close to the road to Amam.

And that is not even doing any of the trails you did on the last trip, but I still want to see you do C trail in he reverse direction.

One should consider those who tow trailers and caravans as well on a non-basecamp type of trip, moving campsites.

April is waaaay too far off in the distance

Leave the caravans at K Pella and proceed with RTTs.

I have forgotten to update this thread after completing the build on H trail since i have been posting in the other thread.

    3 things have happened recently.
    1. We are opening more Camping sites on the farm, currently they are a work in progress and due to the grape harvest progress is slow.
    2. I have a made a Website to show the trails better. It is the first time i have done something like that , and have had no instruction , criticism and advise on hte layout of the site will be appreciated. Pricing etc will still be added. the website is https://www.gama4x4trails.com/
    3. I completed H trail, another Grade 5 trail for the truly adventurous.
