Can anyone give me an idea of how do-able this is pse. Last night in camp will be at Bosobogolo Camp (mabuasehube) - Can't come back via Nossob as that side is full....so finking - head out and down to Tsabong and then the B211 to Midleputs and Botspits and cross there and stay at Molopo lodge before the trek south.

Any comments ? places to stay between Tsobong & Bokspits ? or is the park to Molopo lodge do-able in a day > ?

On my last trip in May, I stayed over at Phirima about 40km south of Tsabong.

    Hi there,

I see no reason why this can not be done. We are doing the reverse from Molopo to Mabua in October. Good tar road
    after Tsabong .

Yes but it's the section from Tsabong to mabu that worries me - it is probably a cut line with very deep and slow going sand - anyone done this recently

We did the reverse trip from Molopo Lodge to Bosobogolo in 2012 with about 2 hours waiting for friends in Tsabong and another hour 10km from Mabua gate unhitching a broken trailer and transferring tents etc to the cars.

The border at Bokspits closes at 4:00pm but an early start should get you there in time (the 30km stretch of sand should be less of an issue in the early morning as well).

    Hi
We did the reverse a few years ago from Molopo to Mabua and arrived with plenty of time to set up camp. The tar road from the border is fantastic while the cutline from Tshcbong to the gate is good gravel and then a little bit of deep sand - not bad going though.
Last year we traveled from Bosobogolo to Upington in one go, arriving late afternoon, leaving Botswana via Tshbong and then McCarthy's Rest.. Worst part of that road was after the border! Next time i will go to Molopo Lodge as you have planned. Far nicer road.
