Default Garmin Dashcam 55: Mini suction mount?

This rather nifty dashcam comes with an adhesive magnetic mount. I am looking for a suction cup mount that will fit this unit. Your advice please.

I wanted to convert mine too using some old suction cups, but the angles were wrong. I used the adhesive pad, and must say it works quite well. If I remember correctly, thee are 2 pads which come with so you can use it in 2 vehicles.

Unfortunately you are stuck with the one mounting position in the vehicle, so you need to make sure you got it spot on. Check for wiper action in the rain.

As an aside, these dash cams are awesome when compared to the cheapies out there. I've gone through quite a few. The only ones which lasted were the 1st generation Garmin (lower video quality), the the 55 model and an old Blackview. On our last trip, it took a while to register that the Garmin Dashcam was warning us about front collisions as we came close to the vehicle in front, and also for warning us every time we changed lanes. This was after the latest firmware upgrade. I disabled these settings - I do not need more than one backseat driver in the car

Just spoke to Garmin, apparently they can order it for you and it is compatible. Long lead time though as they don't stock it priced around R200 to R300.

Aaargh...no luck. Garmin SA says they do not intend bringing in the mini suction cup mount.

Order some direct from the states - I will take one - should help to bring the costs down
