    1. What are the different 3rd party vehicle insurance and permits required for visiting above countries.
    2. Do COMESA yellow card Insurance will cover list 1-7 countries, if yes , what will be the tentative cost.
    3. I have heard somewhere Local insurance also required along with COMESA , ( If yes what is the local insurance and what will be the tentative cost.
    4. Can you advise any good insurance company for 3rd party vehicle insurance for all visiting countries.
    5. What are the others cross border formalities and other required permits.
    6. What are the documents required for the 3rd party vehicle insurance?
    7. Kindly suggest any other required permits/documentation ( if I missed ).

    Hi Anoop,

May I suggest that you move your post to the Overland section? You will get a much better response there. You are currently in "Calendar and Events" which I doubt many people look at very often. There are multiple answers to your questions, but in general, you can buy most of your short term insurance at each border post, or in the capital cities, or major towns.
For Indian registered vehicles, I would think that a carnet de passage is essential for East Africa - check with your local AA or equivalent motoring association.
