Will work fine if you have a proper hitch pin.

I have seen much worse. So its supposed to be a tow strap according to their website. So of you tow something there is not much harm to be done. But it stays a dangerous practice using a towball.

Their website is also quite clear to first tension and not use a towball if you are not 100% sure.

Another fault on their video is when the guy do a basket join on the recovery point of the vehicle. You will cut it off if you put pressure on that rope.

No just as dangerous. maybe even more. Its been discussed till doomsday. Your towbar is not a safe recovery structure

I've seen guys doing recoveries off recovery points bolted on with low tensile bolts. Same argument.

jip you're right. We need no standards. Killing people is fine. In fact you can do what you want to in this country [just don't owe the taxman money]

    What I have experienced.

You cannot discuss unsafe vehicles and badly build vehicles then you get threatened by the manufacturers.

You must not advocate safe recovery practices cos some noob says its ok

You cannot refuse people not to drive on trails drunk, you are a spoil sport.

Never ask a question on a forum as you will be blown out the water with your "stupidity in asking"

Never voice an opinion as you will be lambasted for your idiotic ideas

Never ever ever buy a vehicle without an engine cover and stay away from crank snapping vehicles.

    "TOW" ....not recover??
Its a tow rope, if your car can tow 2500kg using a towbar why cant you use that to tow with if its rated to pull 16 tons?

Maybe because when you get slack in the strap and suddenly jerk it there is a massive force on it similar almost to snatching. Its not the same as towing a rigid trailer.

And if the state dares to make laws to protect people from their own stupidity the state becomes a "Nanny State" - so many idiots on this forum uses it as an derogatory term!

Put your nappies on guys... never thought I'd have to say that here... then get your mom to read you the instructions... I say that because nobody here did that yet...

How much clearer to you need the instructions to be... if you even read them that is?

    My word... eina...

Tow Dawg is a revolutionary tow ball hitch tow strap. Each Tow Dawg comes with a canvas bag and instructions. We have proudly manufactured these at our Tecumseh, Oklahoma facility since 1996.
    KNOW YOUR TOW BALL

You need to know the strength of the tow ball that is being used. The 2-5/16, with a larger shaft size, will have a larger sheer strength than a 2 or even a 1-⅞. Welded or forged ball hitches are typically even stronger than a tow ball with a screw-on nut. A new ball hitch will have a higher strength than a used ball hitch. If there is any doubt in the strength of the ball hitch, DO NOT USE!
    HOW TO USE

    1. Place the circle of the key hole over the tow ball.
    2. Firmly pull to assure the shaft of the keyhole is around the shaft of the tow ball.
    3. Connect the opposite end of the nylon Tow Dawg to the object being pulled.
    4. Roll forward slowly to take out ALL slack in the Tow Dawg strap.
    5. Once tension is formed on the Tow Dawg strap, SLOWLY pull forward.

This has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum and others. A quick Google search should provide all the answers.

Only attach a trailer to a tow ball NOTHING!! else, that is what I live by and if I see anybody attach a winch cable, chain or tow-strap that is when I stop helping and walk away, you are playing with somebody's life here don't risk it.

    No No NO...
That Pin is not for recovery... It is used for a lunette trailer hitch found in heavy duty applications.
