Apollo is Original equipment on Ford Figo's. It's made by Dunlop but not available to all outlets (you got a price from TWT, am I right?)

Unfortunately NO (platkar) tyre is going to like a pothole. I've even lost a Goodyear and a Kumho like that.

My advice: Contact a participating Hi-Q that offers Tyresurance. They pay up to 84% of the tyre's value back to you, and ANY tyre sold by them is covered. Not all Hi-Q's participate though...

Alternatively TWT offers the same, but I think you have to pay extra for it

I was at the branch near east Rand mall today. I would not waste my time on them. Go to Lombaart tyres and buy the Khumoís. Itís Lombaarts house brand and they are very underpriced.
Iím looking for tyres for my Fortuner, not one tyre brand can touch the R2500 price point in the size and load rating I want.

My Figo Apollos wore very fast (between 45k to 50k km), the Pirellis I replaced them with lasting much longer. But will your low km, not an issue I'd think.

My MIL has apollo's on her Kia Optima. 18" though, but seems to be a very good tyre. Performance variant installed on the vehicle, so don't think they will give high mileage. But nothing wrong with them. I would possibly also consider Falken. Use to be cheaper tyre, with ability of competing with the big ones.

A little tidbit....Falken and Dunlop both belong to Sumitomo in SA...
