    Default Coopers AT3

Morning Guys. A little ticked off this morning, well have been since yesterday. Took my disco for the 8000 km rotation and alignment check up. this I have done religiously since fitting these tyres in 2015, a total of 9 visits so far at around R500 a pop. This is to maintain my 80000km warrantee that I have in writing from Coopers and one of the reasons I bought these tyres. Too my surprise my tyre man informs me that the warrantee has been withdrawn.
    Has the warrantee been withdrawn?
    Have I any recourse?

What did you want to claim for? I have STT's on my Pajero, and the one sidewall split on a recent Botswana trip. Tyremart got the rep out to have a look, and Cooper gave me 53% off a brand new STT Pro....

Cooper At3 are crap tyres. Overpriced, bad mileage, puncture prone. Around 50,000km which I reckon is a joke, proper rotation done.

This is based on two sets on the Wrangler. We have now switched to Hankook Dynapro at half the price and the mileage is already showing a vast improvement.

Maybe, but the Dynapro sidewall is as soft as a baby's bum.

The problem, Bruce, is that you didn't buy the LT spec tyre with the 10-ply sidewall.......

True....but I am not a fan of Hankook. Had them on a company Tiguan and they were horrible in the wet. The General Grabber also soft. I had AT3's on my Disco and they were pretty good but sold on 32 000km's so not sure what long term mileage would have been.

    It is the principle.

I also don't think I am going to reach 80000km, and now have no recourse.

9 alignments and rotations later I could;d have bought 1 tyre.

Why are they cancelling the warrantee?

Contact Cooper SA, the warranty is still valid.

I cant see how they would retract a warranty on something already sold, perhaps for future sales yes.

My ST Maxx are approaching 80,000km and I'll probably see 100,000km out of them no problem.
