    Default 2008 Pathfinder 4L V6 Auto.

    Problem fixed.

Good day, I need some advice and assistance.

I have the 2008 auto Pathfinder. This morning, as always, started the car, wait a couple of seconds, put on the safety belt, and engaged D. But, strangely enough, the car reversed. Check again, gear lever in D and instruments display R. But, the gear shifter is moving very lightly, as if no restrictions. Will not disengage R or move anywhere.

Now, I know it could be the selector at the gear shifter. But, how difficult/easy is it to remove the centre console? At the moment I am at work, but will only have time this afternoon to check it out. The car cannot be taken to the dealers, it is parked in the basement and the low bed cannot enter. I will have to fix it myself.

Any suggestions? I do not have the workshop manual either, therefor my asking here.

    Thanks.
