After the reunion we travelled to Divundu and stayed at Nunda River Lodge for 2 nights camping.Thererafter to Katima Mulilo but on the way visited the Bwabwata National Park. What a surprise - plenty kudu, impala, lechwe, elephants, etc.Was about 16km to the horseshoe but it took us at least 3 hours in the sand and stopping for game viewing to get out again.

After 2 night camping in Katima, Caprivi Mutoya Lodge, we left for Botswana.I tried my hand at tigerfishing, but it was too cold to catch anything.I took the long road from Kasana via Nata to Maun, only because I was warned that I will not get through Savuti/ chobe in one day.(What a pitty as I would have liked to travel that road)In Maun we stayed now at the Old Bridge Backpackers, also an eye opener, almost like a squatter camp. Although the safari tent was quite comfortable, with ensuite open shower. We also dug deep into the savings account and took a flight over the delta.

and then the trek back home via Kubu Island - so we hopedWhat a disappointment - - The Ntwetwe pan was flooded and we could not get through from the Qweta side.It took us another 6 hours drive to Nata - all sand - and eventually we luckily got accommodation at Woodlands Stopover in Francistown. The last day was another 745km home, by which time I was [email protected] driving.I have now explored the "broad area" of Caprivi and Botswana and will go again to specific areas for my holiday.
