Hi Everyone. Another newbie (Me) just joined the forum after stalking some threads over the past few months. I got myself a freelander 2, 2 weeks ago and already got some mud on it. Had the opportunity to drive it up the flat mountain in Cape Town this past weekend from Constantia Nek. It was a bit muddy but not very challenging (which is great as i dont have any off road experience, but ive been driven up and down that trail a number of times before, so i knew what to expect). Im wondering if there are any freelander clubs (or softroader clubs ) in Cape Town.
Im also trying to decide wether or not to enrol in a 4x4 driving course. I see on the one thread Ive read that opinion is divided in the value and skills gained in one of these courses and I have a soft roader (so a 4x4 driving course may be overkill?). Anyway, I look forward to chatting on the various threads soon.
