Default Honda Jazz 2010 1.5 EX Auto

Considering this as a daily runabout for the mrs since the Etios she is using for work is just urgh...

What should I be thinking about here on a 2010 model with 112k km on the clock. Auto gearbox, etc.

Anything anybody can add that i should look at when taking it for a test spin?

    TIA

What are the average services and fuel consumption like on the 1.5 auto box?

Our car is 2009 model with 105000 km.
    Its our daily runabout.
I do my own maintenance on all my cars and this little thing is as reliable as Hondas have always been known to be.
Except for normal service, brakes, tyres, battery car has been flawless.
Only negative that most of these small cars have is a ride that is bit on a harsh side.
Lastly, very few cars of the same class can compete with Hondas interior space and packaging.

My mom has a 2012 15i auto. Lovely car. We've been to the coast and the Kruger park in it multiple times. We not small adults and I was surprised how comfortable and spacious this is. Fuel consumption on the auto is not the best, if I recall correctly on the computer it read around 7.4l/100km but it's also not that bad.

All I can say is, if it hasn't been neglected, get it!

    Thanks all.

There is another option of a 1.2 CVT comfort with only 32k km on the clock, 2016, which would mean there is still some service plan / warranty left also so we are considering that.

Anything to worry about on the CVT vs the normal auto in the 1.5?

I would always take conventional Auto over CVT.
Also we had Brio with 1.2L engine and was really underpowered.
It needs to be always kept in the top end of the rev range to keep it going.
I think it will be tiresome driving 1.2 CVT Jazz around, it will be frustrating.

I think we'll try go for the 1.5 Auto as opposed to the CVT.

The Honda Jazz is one of those cars you can just buy without comparing it to others or even test driving it. For this segment, it is, and has been since the first model, by far the best.

Just check. I always check as it is also easy to do. Turn the steering wheel full lock to left or right and drive slowly forward. I hear a click click sound they need to be placed. Do the same in the othe direction. Cheap to replace and if you replace do both sides

When you look at what you can fit inside a Jazz, and how small it is on the outside, it seems to defy the laws of physics.

    Agree with that Johan.

My sister has one and it is massive once you let the back seats down.
