Default Restoration of 1983 FJ Cruiser

    Hi guys,

I bought a ‘83 FJ45; the plan is to restore it. Going in tomorrow for a respray etc. There are quite a few trimmings that I need (e.g. gear lever knobs, airflow console adjustment knobs, etc, etc.).

I had a look at gumtree, etc, but had quite a few hits and misses.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rudolph

Rudolph, what parts etc etc do you need??

I have a few bits and bobs here on a J4 Pickup.........split rims, tyres, body parts, etc etc etc, just lying around and in my way.

(edit) also glass bits, I think a door with mechanisms, fenders, etc etc. "Accidentally" bought it on a Lot at a farm auction.

Free to a Good Home, its lying on a heap in wind and weather anyway.

It's at the panel beaters now, so will send a pic when all done..

I'm struggling to figure out which parts are missing on the heater/airflow console. I'll attach a pic of what it currently looks like.

Part numbers or even a pic of what it should look like would be great!

    Thanks,

    Rudolph

You essentially have everything, except for the knob on the heater control lever (and some missing screws and clips. Part number for the knob is 87123-10050.

Here are some pictures of what it looks like complete and a diagram for a LHD one which is essentially the same with the lever at the other side:

    Hi Petri,

I couldn’t get hold of you yet. Please would you let me know if the parts are still available?
