Last pot for the Day in here

Looks tacky........surface rust, and the window rubbers are 47 years old.

Pics taken this morning - summer is NOT around the corner in Bethlehem, as you can see

Petri I think the rust around the windscreen is a bit more than surface rust!

Eish, daai "surface rust"... Dis die een ding wat ek beslis sou uitsort op die voertuig, maar verder, op grond van jou terugvoer elders ook, sien ek geen rede vir 'n volledige, ground-up restourasieprojek nie.

    OK

Removed the rear canvas, and replaced the half perished rubber bands with new ones today. Canvas sits nice and taut now. Wish I could have those "rings" re-powdercoated or whatever, but gonna be a mission.

Old wooden strip removed, I'll send it to renew tomorrow. Lots of gunk underneath, but luckily no (more) rusty surprises.

Removed the rear cage, easy as pie, you just unclip it in 4 places. Unbelievably well thought out.

The "cage" is still as new and original, so not tampering with that.

Pinzie looks cute now, like a little Mini Moke Pickup thingie.8)

Tomorrow I'll strip the windows, front canvas and frame, and that rear panel. Also the whole front window.

While all the canvas is off, I'll sommer see what are those extra sails I got with the Pinz.......brand new stuff, looks like a sort of bikini top and rear window cover that rolls up, and half-door canvas.8)

Body seems all 100% virgin, no putty or evidence of prang(s) anywhere.

Mods - very sorry to give you extra work.

But I think it will be better if you zap this Thread, and I carry on on the existing "Restoring" Thread please........??

I have questions etc etc with regards to Petronix etc etc and the other Thread works better

    THANKS
