Not yet, fox in Jhb are still moving shop. They said they will phone me once they have finished relocating. Iím going to fit the dampers myself, itís just that their stock is not organized. As soon as I get them will post pics and ride report.

Anyone heard about fox adventure series? Last I heard it was entering market slightly cheaper than 2.0 . Would like to know what difference is?

just ordered my Fox shocks front and rear today. Very excited for them.

After the front lifts 50mm how do we bring the rear up slightly (letís say 15mm)

Iíve had the Fox fitted for a week or so now and Iíve noticed a significant improvement in the ride quality around town. The back, fitted with aluminum canopy and a full fuel tanks (+68L Long Range tank), is 15mm lower than the front. I plan to sort that out soon, not sure if that should be extended shackles, spacers etc. Suggestions? I am going on a trip this weekend which will include 200km of dirt roads, I will be able to give you a better report next week.

Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean by improved ride quality? I'm asking as some people define this as better handling around corners/high speed stability etc and others as road imperfection absorption My main gripe with the Fortuner suspension is the harsh ride over poor road surfaces (i.e. small bumps etc). Every small imperfection is transferred into the cabin.

So, my final comments after nearly 7000km in the last 3 weeks. Alot of it on the worst gravel and riverbed jeep tracks that Namibia offers.

Just prior to the trip (whole family and moderately loaded) I had the rear leaves changed to LAS (+150). Much as I like the OEM leaves from Toyota, adding an extra leaf was not an option and I needed a bit of extra loadability what with LR tank, canopy , bumper and 2 spares. An interesting additional benefit seems to be they are less prone to the high pitched squeak every hilux I have owned developed as soon as some dust or mud got between them.

The vehicle and suspension performed flawlessly.

The off road comfort is without equal. Since re valving the front dampers the low speed oscillation over humps is gone.

I could not be happier. Certainly on the Hilux (and I'm sure on other bakkies) FOX is, in my opinion and experience, the best out there.

I wonder if this is related to stiff side wall on the all-terrain tyre?

If its BFG for sure. I 've got Maxis AT running at 1.8bar on the revo and very happy with drive! I believe the foxies will be great but at a big cost

I mean exactly what you are after. I recently put Tough Dog on my Fortuner and its very good! But the Fox on my Hilux is better and if I had to do my Fortuner again, I would take Fox.

Thanks. I heard that FOX might also be working on a front shock only replacement for the Fortuner/Hilux so will give it a couple of months before I make my decision

That will be excellent. Pretty much sold on the Fox but the front set up is keeping me away.

Same here. Making it much more expensive for something I do not really need/want.

A front damper only replacement would be nice. Probably budget in the region of R3000 per damper though (excl vat) as the rear Fox 2.0 smooth bore dampers are R2800 each (Excl VAT).

    i would be interested.
