Default Nissan Hardbody ZD 30 Diesel Pump Problem

Does anybody know where I can take my HB to get the Diesel Pump tested. A few weeks ago the car just stopped. My local mechanic figured out it was the diesel pump. (when we spray some Q20 , it starts). Problem is, He has had it (apparently) at 3 people, none of them can give us a test bench report, which is required by my AA Warranty. Apparently it is a problem part and they do not want to take the risk. Should I take it to a place like BOSCH or is Nissan my only option?

I also had to issues with the pump on the HB.

Recon at R21k if I remember correctly. Was a few year ago. Yes a problem part.

Talk to Reenen, I think there was a way of converting the ZD30 to a mechanical pump?

By the way, has the "mechanic" done a proper check to see if diesel is indeed getting to the injectors?

Has he checked the Nissan Diagnostic codes?

Has he considered checking the CRANK POSITION SENSOR?

    The IMMOBILISER?

I suggest a Bosch Diesel workshop as a MINIMUM.

Agree with Jelo, has the mechanic doen the proper testing.

Take it to a Bosch diesel centre or there is a bloke in Germiston called Diesel Maniac Mechanic which helped me sourcing injectors last year. He is quite a helpful old man with a heap of diesel knowledge.

last i read, he said no.
if this is not correct, i am all ears.

    on another note:
    - Immobiliser/NATS will stop the diesel from sending diesel into the lines
    - CAS will do the same
    - as Jelo put it: do you get diesel at the pump? (from filter)

Codes will be a good indicator of the issue.

Just make sure before you buy another diesel pump. Don't trust this bush machenic, last time I took my navara for diognosis @ jorbug to one of machenic coz my truck just lost the power after replacing clutch plate and flywheel. Then his diognosis machine says FUEL PUMP. I went to buy another diesel pump and replace it and still the same no change. So be careful don't be like me coz I just wasted my money.
