Hi 4x4 Community,
I bought a Freelander 2 in Feb and we love the vechicle. It does however have some noises that neither Land Rover, a LR indie specialist or I can pinpoint.
One of the noises is a intermittent whistling sound- literally like when you’d produce a constant whistle and not high pitched like found with a turbo.
The sound seems to come from the middle / rear of the vechicle and the durations varies. It’s not there from the start, but persists throughout the drive.
Strange thing is, when the vehicle is stationary as in at a robot the sound is gone which had me thinking that it could be break related?
When off-roading and driving at really low speeds the sound also occurs more regularly and the duration increases.
Hoping someone can put a finger on it.
Maybe a small tear in a turbo hose?
Ours had it a while back.
