    I have posted on a few threads, I decided to start my own.
    i posted my last three projects, the others are not that great

    The gas forge with the burner i build recently.
    testing phase. i added a air quick release coupling and red devil regulator with 9kg bottle. also closed up the hole going into the forge

    That is looking good. How much gas do you use roughly?

    How hot can a forge like that get.?What are you using to grind your knives?

    For heat treat only i used a 7kg bottle. Probably 5 to 10 blades

    I can weld in the forge. I measured 1300 degrees then i pulled the thermocoupler
    My actual problem is to get 816 degrees for carbon steel
    I build a belt grinder to take the 2m belts

    How do you adjust heat in a gas forge .?Or dont you. What style grinder is it.I am battling to find a reasonably priced 8 inch wheel. They are hellish expensive.

    I use the red devil high pressure reg to control the pressure and i control the air flow on the burner.
    I found nylon wheels with fitted bearings as wheels. Not the ideal but works well enough

    Would you willingly invest in a carbon steel kitchen knife or do you prefer stainless steel

    This was when it was new. See here.

    Apart from being dirty, it has served me well. This is a small pulley, I have seen much bigger MDF wheels/pulleys running on youtube.
