    3. Drill the transfercase, weld control arms and then use mechanical links to shift from high to low, or vice versa.
    4. Difflock can be controlled the exact same way
    5. Engine speed to gearbox speed to transfercase output sensor sensing can be easily controlled through a 12ohm resistive load
    6. Use a Mazda MX5 sump in place of the lexus sump in order to resolve the front diff right output hurdle, some cutting is required but silicone gasket seal helps poor welding..
    7. Simple hall sensor on the crank to control timing

I have it on 27 examples where this has worked perfectly, Lexus even runs at 12KM/L, makes the 3.0 diesel look like a POS...

Edit - sorry - forgot, you are going to have to go with a cable handbrake system as well..

Admittedly there might however be latent problems on the TPMS system.......
(Sorry I did not remove my thanks intentionally...Thank you for very valued post )

Marco...Is this done privately or professionally as a business .....

And with all the sensor mods...what is the final cost...?
Lexus specials..... R14500-00 with Gearbox and loom included..

Lol I know it will be a challenge - but you overthinking it

you keep the dead engines ecu, feed the new engines rpm and temp sensors etc into both ecus - the dead and now living engines have relevant signals and all of those other modules linked across CAN will be fine, you will need to trick and fool the original ecu on a few fault codes but other than that - treat it as two ecus and feed whatever inputs / outputs are needed, luckily CAN can be translated and certain messages intercepted and adjusted and then sent on

Yep LRTDV6, I'm pulling your leg, sorry, I was trolling... my bad.. The only successfull Lexus transplant that I have ever read of (I know there are many) is that of Sakkie7 and his Jeep.

At some stage there will be a genuine genius that will come along with a probable solution electronics & data wise, unfortunately you still have the issue of the right driveshaft through the engine sump, but admittedly I do not know if the Lexus is less "tall" than the 3.0 V6 diesel, and therefore of no importance..

Good luck with your choice, please don't be offended, I was just playing on...

I'll take that on my shoulders, well deserved.

I am however a lot more "true" than might be intended in your response. The Lexus / LR3 debacle is pretty well documented, The LR3 is a myriad of confusing and confused electronics, and no thats not a typo, any vehicle that blows a brakelight resulting in a suspension failure is because electronics is confused because an engineer was confused..

Good luck with your research, of all that I have read in this circumstance over the last 10 years or so is either 1. Rebuild using a genuine LR sub assembly, in your case probably more bits, and take your chances, or 2. Get a donor accident scrapped LR3 V8 where you can go front to back and replace as much as possible, then grow old and grey trying to sort out the gremlins that will present themselves..

These options, I think, have already been mentioned and possibly agreed to be the best solution, apart from scrapping and walking away with a bit in your pocket, in your very own thread..

There are people with great intellect and knowledge in this forum, i believe they have already presented you with the solutions that in my opinion are best, which you agreed to, but you seem to return on the hunt for what currently "seems" impossible, at great financial risk to yourself...

Look, at the end of the day its only money, and how much of it you have to waste, my Jeep CJ-7 a case in point..

Good luck with it all, I hope that you find a workable solution.. I will gladly help by the way..
