    Hi

So I decided to rather go for a carpet in the caravan. I want a carpet similar to the carpet in a luxury car like a bmw or merc. I removed the existing carpet and now need someone to cut me a carpet. Can anyone suggest someone that can do this for me. I will fit it myself with velcro. Dankie

    Hi All

Called 7 companies today to get automotive carpet for the commander and not one willing to cut it as per the old carpet. Does anyone perhaps know of a place that will do this?

    Hi Pieter

I bought automotive carpet and got a car upholstery business to cut it for me providing the template in CPT.
Also, could the tent makers not do this for you if you purchase the bulk material? They would also be able to stitch the edging.
    Just a thought.

Thanks to those for this idea which I modified slightly and glad I can finally make a contribution to the group. A 'Vinnig Opslaan PVC/Dowel Waslyn'. I used a 25mm galvanised irrigation pipe from Build-it. 21cm long, to the end of the tray. Secured with U bolt and plate (5mm) with lockouts. Frame of 20mm conduit pipe I had lying around in the garage. I slipped a 16mm dowel into the conduit pipe to give it rigidity and prevent it from warping (16mm dowel fits perfectly with no play in the conduit pipe). Then used 5 pairs of eyelets 5mm through the pipe at 35cm, 50cm, 65cm and 80cm along it's 86cm length. Conduit Corner fixed onto the ends and the cross piece of conduit pipe also with a 16mm dowel was cut to length....approximately 170cm, but rather measure to fit. I threaded washing line through the eyelets and fixed to the anchor eyelets already on the carry shelf and tightened.Once tightened the whole washing line very sturdy and able to accommodate a full bundle of clothes. SWAMBO very chuffed. The washing line pulls out easily and dismantles and fits onto the back of the carry shelf with the firewood. I'll find a carry bag to put it in for transport.Click image for larger version.

Hi asking on behalf of a friend who owns a 2013 commander................... his commander rocks from side to side as soon as he goes over
95 km/hr, it does not sway from left to right but rocks , he has replaced the shocks but it did not help ,could it be the coils? has anyone experienced this thanks.

Tyre pressures... I had the same when travelling a stint on tar on my trip through Namibia. I left my pressures down for the dirt roads.

tyres need to be 2.6 bar empty, and 3bar when loaded

Hi Conqueror family. We recently purchased a 2007 Commander and hit Bhanga neck on our 1st off-grid camp! What a beautiful part of the world!Worth the drive. 7.5 hours from where we are in Pietermaritzburg. I also changed my water pump and redid my water hoses and installed a Gardener Water Meter (Thank you to all those on the Conqueror Threads for this idea). I had a slight problem with the Gardena Water Meter though. As far as I'm aware the Commander has a 150 litre water tank. At 82 litres on the meter my tank ran dry. Tried it again today at home after filling the water tank with the hose to the brim....and ran dry at 86 litres . Does anyone else have a problem with the accuracy of their Gardena Water Meters? I have checked and excluded any leaks in the system.

    I have two theories.

    1) an air bubble is forming between my two water tanks on the Commander.

    2) the fact that I have the Gardena Water Meter placed AFTER the water pump may play a role. I have only seen one member with the Water Meter AFTER the pump.Everyone else on the Threads seem to have theirs BEFORE the pump on the 'passive/low pressure' side.

Any suggestions or assistance would be much appreciated.Click image for larger version.

    Daarshy Bushbaby

Geluk met jul aankoop van n Commander.
    Waarmee sleep jy?

    Dankie Wildkyker.

My gat het nie gesak nie. So tydjie terug n 25mm spacers voor ingesit en nuwe hoer shackles agter by Ranger.Werk soos n bom.
