    There are a couple of options;

    Option 1
    Start at PE and go through the Baviaans.
    At the end of Baviaans on the R332 where it splits, turning right is to Willowmore. Turn left.
    Keep on that road, past Kouga View game farm and Hartbeespost Guesthouse.
    Continue straight until the gravel road ends into the N9.
    Turn left towards Uniondale.
    While traveling on the N9, a couple of kms outside Uniondale look for the Kammanasie road turn off to the right.
    stay on the Kammanasie road past Dysseldorp until the gravel road ends into the N12.
    Turn left onto the N12 for a short distance to Oudtshoorn.

    Option 2
    Start at PE and take the R72 to Uitenhage.
    Just outside Uitenhage look for the Cockscomb turn off to the left
    Make sure you follow this road until it meets up with the R332 just below Willowmore
    Turn left and stay on the R332 but skip the Baviaans turn and keep going straight , past Kouga View game farm and Hartbeespost Guesthouse.
    Continue straight until the gravel road ends into the N9.
    Turn left towards Uniondale.

    I did both these routes, amazing drive and you will see animals on the private game reserves. Have your camera ready

    We miss so much by using tar. Some years back we drove to Cape Town, took the Langkloof Road, then instead of turning left to George we went towards Oudtshoorn, and virtually a straight line to Cape Town (Atlantis area). Sand roads, farm roads and more, it is was of the most memorable drives ever. Only problem it was a decision taken on the way and not planned so there was no time to stop really.

    I avoid tar as much as possible, we have been to some incredible places with the Jimny using the gravel back roads. I just use Google maps, look for gravel roads, take screenshots, edit the image by adding arrow lines for directions. I do this as you will mostly have no cell data signal and my CASKA Navigation head unit does not have most of the gravel back roads on its maps.
