    Default Engel fridge/freezer probe placement

I have a 32lit Engel (the older version with out a temp readout), with the knob from 1-5.
It looks identical to the old 40 lit ones.

So I purchased a thermometer with a probe - but where should I mount the probe??
On the lid - on the bottom - on the cooling vanes - or below them on the side. Advice please.

    Default Engel fridge/freezer probe placement

I hacked the fridge side of my dual compartment engel fridge like that. The probe is hanging halfway down in the one corner, works perfectly. I covered it with a piece of big silicone tubing so that it doesn’t get confused when a warmer or cooler object touches it directly. Test it indifferent locations, use a wattmeter to see if there’s any difference in power used over a few days

Just some pics of where I placed the probe and display.

Paid R80 bucks for the thermometer, and testing now.
