We are planing a trip (four vehicles) for end Aug / Sep. 2018 to include Richetersveld, Namakwa Eco Trail and Kalaghadi GR.
Total 4 - 5weeks all in.
Some join and depart along the way - three vehicles at this time committed to the whole 4 week trip,

Due to constraints on getting bookings for KTFP we have to work around those obtained for that area.
Richtersveld seems to be a bit more flexible.

Members who have done a similar trip in the past ??

We want to include SE Namibia (Ais-Ais etc.) , Richtersveld and the Namaqua Eco Trail in our route.

We are planning to meet up at Augrabies NP or Witsand and go from there, Else Upington via Tweerivieren and then through Mata to Sendelings.

Any ideas on whether we should do Eco trail before or after Richtersveld?

Hi Peter1949,
It depends on if you are planning to see some flowers or not but if you do then I would suggest do the Namaqua Eco route first. Did that two years ago and can say without conviction that the flowers on the route were spectacular. It made the route and is something to behold, you will not regret it. My wife and I spent 11 days doing the route then and are planning the same again soon provided the area has good rainfall during the April/May period.

Hi Guys
You could try Botswana camping for KTFP, in my experience it is usually available. It's basic, no fences, primitive ablutions, lions would recommend roof top tents go prepared.
botswana camp sites are just other side of the river - Lots of fun
