    Default Swartberg kruin

    Good day fellow adventurers

I would like to know if any one have done the Swartberg kruin trail recently. If so how is the terrain, is it doable for a rookie in a Jimny, is there a overnight hut on the trail, where would one get a permit. Basically... Im going to visit a friend in the beginning of May in Prins Albert and i want to make a road trip out of it.

Best to check with Cape Nature in Oudtshoorn.

    AFAIK it is closed.

It's closed, sorry. There were massive wash away's which are simply not repairable (until we take things a step further ...)
It was a fantastic route, not very technical or difficult but the veiws were just something else.

Maybe we South Capers should offer to make do-able for Cape Nature and make it available again, even if it has to guided.
