    Glad you are sorted out now - I would have suggested to put the fuel suction pipe in a 2 liter bottle crank it up and see if the fuel pump can empty the bottle and if the engine would run till the container is empty
    That would also gave an idea where the problem was if the engine fired up.

    Many moons ago - 2003 - Western Woodlands Botswana. This one had a (new) condenser fail on the 2.5 Chevy. Good times. Btw - do yourself a favour and get a Pertronix Igniter Kit for the dissy for that 4.1 from Bruce at :

    Alright bit of an update... I've been away. Will hopefully have the landy up and running Tomorrow. Cleaned the tank out. Lots of crap in there. Also did little bit of maintenance to to various bits and bobs. So will give you all an update if she works Mudder that petronix reminds me of the systems we used on the racing cars. Will definitely look into it. Thank you for the advice guys

    glad you got sorted. For next time -


    Carry a spare sparkplug ... QUICK to check if you are getting spark ... thus taking the whole electric set of questions off the table.


    Fuel ... uhmmm not fun next to the road.
    - pump(s) ?
    - filter ?
    - blocked pipes ? Maybe check the inside of the fuel tank .. if there is any debris ....

    So she runs!!! And a heck of a lot better. Filters all new. She now has 3. And 2 X pumps one main and a new back up. And seeing as I am anyway full of crap and in the mood to work. Let's see if I can get the air compressor working
