    Stockpoort , Mahalapye, Serowe, Rakops, Maun. I find this way saves lots of time due to the hold up at the other border posts .

    Agree with Puma, providing when you say car you don't mean platkar?

    If platkar I'd recommend the Martins Drift option.

    I travel the N4 frequently so would recommend PTA to Lobatse via Zeerust. From there it's a matter of getting onto the Trans Kalahari up to Jwaneng and onto Ghanzi and then Maun.

    Going via Martins Drift and Rakops is an option but I found the road North of Rakops to be in poor shape where the Trans Kalahari was a breeze (even for a sedan).

    In terms of borders I've found them all to be fairly painless except if going over Easter (in which case Martins Drift is a definite one to avoid)
