Didn't know Jeeps also suffer like the Fortuners...

I am very interested in the mods and adaptions that was done to the Jeep in order to turn those tyres. Mods like diff and transfer box ratios.
I would also like to know if this Jeep was built for trails or not.

Nothing wrong with the pictures. It shows how steep angles it can handle.

There are a lot of Jeeps running 40's on Rubicon and Moab trails, they are almost unstoppable

Indeed Tony. But they have the diff ratios changed to run those 40" tyres. Even the transfer case have crawler gears in.

Absolutely Chris, imagine what a dog a Wrangler on 40's would be without changed diff ratios

Is this werners jeep? The host of the battle of the dunes? All you need is to really strengthen your diffs and change ratios. Bronx just strengthened his diffs and changed ratios to run the 40s

These Jeeps look crazy up close. I have seen one from here in Cape Town - fully adjustable and huge!

Quite pricey to get there though$$$$

This is the way to do it. Stock Dana 44 is to weak for 40 inch tyres. Those Rock Jocks 60 might have a steep price but that is what you need for 40 inch plus tyers.

Have ruined my front Dana 44 at last years Whooopa dune competition. 35`s , V8 power and a heavy right foot is not a good combination. To be honest I am a little disappointed in stock Dana 60`s. Broke a rear shaft the other say when it gripped on tar.

I have learned through years with v8 powered 4x4`s that one needs supper strong running gear.

When guys quote big torque and HP figures for chipped vehicles I know that if the stock diff`s last that they are not close to the 500 and 600nm`s on the Dyno graphs.
