    Default No Scrapyard Defenders

So I have tried every scrapyard from Humansdorp to East London.
Not one place has a Defender being stripped. Not one at all.

I am looking for Puma or Td5 front seats as my Defender has D2 Seats that are a bit high.
I have tried Liemers and most similar places. Also the one in Somerset West.
PLEASE if you see any decent Defender FRONT seats please shout.

So, are Defenders too slow to land up in a Scrapyard ?
Not keen to go the D3 route as its a Kalahari and anything close to Defender seat as in Puma or Td5.
Looked at Freelander seats but they seem a bit high also. So Defender seats it will be.

    But .............

I think this is where the saying comes from that most Land Rovers ( Defenders ) built since 1948 are still on the road............

I have a bunch of alerts on Gumtree, Junkmail etc for Defender spares.

I've seen ONE being stripped in the last 6 months.

Clever people are buying them up ASAP.

Why not D1 or D2 seats?

Jelo. I bought the Kalahari with D2 seats in. They sit too high.
Last time I installed D3 in my old Td5. Might go back to D3.

But I would love to keep this vehicle as standard as I can.
Due to the lack of Kalahari Defenders on the market ..... NONE

I have two front seats for you. One is in a usable condition, the other will need a fair deal of work. I tried to get the back rest to fold down properly and somehow made it worse.

Both will need to be reupholstered. I used them as donors for my current seats.

Both have frames and bases, one frame still have the foam the other not. Both bases have their foam.

You are welcome to them if you are willing to pay shipping. I can send photos tomorrow afternoon if you are interested.

I think I recall someone on this forum put Civic front seats in their defender. Have you considered other makes of seat? Anyway, just a thought.
