    Default Old desk restoration.

My son was given his grandad's old study desk which was made by my grandad for my dad. I sanded down the top to see if it was still usable. Proper old Rhodesian teak (its red) was hiding under the 50 years of wax, oil and gunk. 60 grit sand paper on the disc sander made it look good again. The desk was rickety and the top was split with a 5mm gap so I disassembled the whole table today and started cleaning and fixing it today.

Most of the planks have been sanded down and the top has been glued and dowled together again. Hopefully I can continue and finish assembling it tomorrow
