V6Tdi Touareg EGR Valve *&^% - Remove or not ?

Mnr Fourie en die slim manne hier - help asb. Voorheen het die geel liggie aangegaan en VW het die EGR se " valve " vervang onder waarborg ( extended waarborg deur Ford )
Duisend km daarna - selfde storie.
Nou is dit die cooler. Extended gaurantee manne gooi handjies in die lug.

Ek wag in spanning vir die rekening maar nou lees ek wat julle manne se : Dis net op die environment te red?
Ek dink ek het genoeg gedoen vir volk en vaderland ... kan iemand hierdie &^%$# ding verwyder en sy naelstring afsny dat die motor kan vry vloei of soek ek vir moeilikheid ?

Iemand in George wat my kan help? Nie so seker VW sal my wil help nie?

You can remove it with the required hardware but you need someone who can code the EGR out in the ECU so you do not get a warning light

removing the actual cooler in the v6 is hard. Just leave it in place - bypass the water hoses - there are two - on into the cooler - one out of the cooler - you literally just join them to each other. Then at the front of the intake manifold you will see the 'throttle body' and just upstream from there the cooler pipe comes into the intake manifold. Undo it there and install a block plate there. Then get the coding done.

My son was also referred to them by his boss.
Apparently they do everything except the re-coding which is send to Italy?

But he does not re-chip it as I have seen on overseas forums.

coding EGR things out it does not (have to) touch the normal engine mapping. You can literally just remove those sections of the coding in the management without making it feel any different from normal or changing power outputs.

Boarding for South Africa now - will drive it Monday morning. My son says she is perfect. These guys sends the " program" to Italy and they delete / bypass 67 modules / modes ( sorry I am not very technical).

They invited me to drive it for the week and then bring her back for a dyno check on Friday.

I will keep you updated.

I noticed the EGR was blocked by previous owner but not coded out. Had the coding done - no more smoke.
Speak to trevor greene - he is in pretoria - tell him I referred you - he can do the coding for you.
