With towing, the next mod for me is probably a long range fuel tank. I know that lowers the spare wheel - I am not fond of the look of the after market rear bumper with the spare wheel swingarms even if it is really practical. But I have out of coil airbags that can actually lift the vehicle. So if I loose 10 mm with the extra fuel tank, I could probably cancel that out by inflating the airbags a little more without losing too much articulation
    Haha

Yes, I also don't like the rear bumper. Especially since they all cut the plastic (was nice about the wildog, not cutting).

Biggest problem at the bag is the towbar plug catching every now and again... Looking for a plan to protect it.

Air bags should solve you problem yes.

The Hamer is heavier and more expensive. Wildog is around 40 kg, Hamer is 70 kg. Also the recovery points on the Hamer is not rated.

Must say, the standard recovery points on the Fortuner is strong. It is welded to the chassis. So now I have 4 in front, so you can secure a type of a catch strap as well should one point fail.
Not sure where you getting your info from...The Hamer bumper is also 40kg and the recovery points are rated.

Weight can be out, but have seen another video where it was indicated that the points are not rated.

Recently did the Paradise 4x4 Trail again.

Got to test the BFG KO2 as well as the throttle controller in sand.

    Both worked extremely well!

I have recently installed a throttle controller (which I was given to test).

See the video link below for my review of it:

I will most likely keep it as it gives me more control.

Recently did a trip to Lesotho with Halfway Toyota Fourways. They call this the Senqu Trail. It is one of the tougher trips and the Fortuner blow me away. It is a incredible vehicle.
