Default Where to fit lift kit for Jeep Wrangler ?

    Howzit Offroaders!

I am in need of some guidance with the fitment of a lift kit for a Jeep YJ. I have ordered the "Rubicon Express 2.5" Standard Suspension Lift Kit with Twin Tube Shocks"

I have now received the kit and need to decide on a fitment center. I have already approached Safari Center 4x4.

Can you recommend any other fitment centers that would take this on, and are trusted with this regard? Will appreciate any advise and guidance with this.

Almost forgot...In the Pretoria / Centurion / Bryanston area.

I have received very good service from Safari in Centurion when they fitted the Seikel sliders to my Amarok.

    Would recommend them any day.

Go to Zone Offroad in Midrand. I won't trust any other center to do such an installation apart from them. I'm not the only one on this forum feeling like this. Good luck

After much deliberation, I opted for Safari Center Centurion, to install the lift kit for the Jeep YJ 95'.

The lift was a bit more than I expected (very satisfied though) , but that was due to the original sagging leave springs. The highway /general tar road seemed a bit more bouncy, but I got used to that very quickly. The off-road however, seemed a lot more exciting.

Went with some experienced 4x4ers to Dewildt, and was initially very distraught. The axel twisters just seemed to rule the Jeep . The articulation was horrendous and no diff lock to mention. I was under the impression this is the limitation due to the leave springs suspension setup. Unfortunately, the noob that I am, I decided not to disconnect sway bar rods. After battling on a couple of obstacles, I decided to see what the difference will be when the sway bar is disconnected.

The difference after disconnecting the sway bar, was huge. The articulation of the front wheels increased drastically. The Jeep then went through the axel twister obstacles much easier. I must admit, my mood changed a whole lot. Its probably not the best 4x4 vehicle, but I will chose it again to gain some awesome 4x4 experience and memories. Love the cosmetic side and the possibilities of the Jeep.

Lefty my man. I like your Jeep. Very very much. Keep it, it is a good Wrangler.
