Battery is not fully charged. Either a duff battery or your tracking module is draining the battery between driving trips.
Ask the dealer to disable the stop/start facility?

Hi,
I recently bought a 2014 QQ secondhand.
Yesterday afternoon when i started it to drive home from work it displayed a "Start/Stop system fault" error on the screen display.
Also did it this morning.
The button that toggles the Start/Stop function is also lit and is not responding to any user input.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?
Thanks
G

Thanks for the quick response.
1. I also read that it could be the battery, but the answers online are a bit inconclusive. Was hoping someone here has experienced the problem themselves.
When i bought the car they had to jump start it because the battery had run flat over the holiday. Do you think the battery might have gotten hurt in the process?
2. What do you mean by "tracking module"?
3. I have a button that can switch on/off the Start/Stop function. If the dealers disable it wont it only hide the current or underlying problem?
4. What battery should the QQ 1.5 DCI have. I'm also suspecting an insufficient size.
Thanks again
G

Celltrack, Tracker, those things the insurance makes you fit to help find the vehicle after it is stollen

had the same issue on the xtrail, fried wiring harness was the issue. Replaced under warranty.

Take it back to Nissan and ask them to bypass it so it does not work completely
Had the exact same problem. Definitely the incorrect battery size. Swopped out the battery for the correct size and problem solved.
Not 100% sure. They originally wanted to just replcae a part of the harnass but then asked me if they could replace the whole engine harness to see if they can send it for inspection. Extra day at the dealer so no big deal. I can call and ask what the issue was for you. They did check the battery first.

"can you remember what the correct battery was ?"
Sorry for the delay! The correct battery is a 652. Replaced the battery on our vehicle and never had a problem since and the start and stop system now operates perfectly.
