    Default Heater speed control

Has anyone fitted a PWM speed controller in place of the lever speed control on a Defender (1992) 3.5 V8? My resistor has blown on my heater and they dont appear to be readily available.

Where could I get a PWM controller in western Cape?

If you make a noise or need music in the bush or on the beach, you’re missing the point.

Part number for the resistor is UTP1281 , it's available in many stores but quite expensive

I have purchased a speed controller (PWM) from Communica - great service by the way - next day delivery.

Hope to fit it today - will let you know how it works.

Funny how these things go, I had it both on my BMW318 as well as my X-trail. They called it the - fan speed control resistor. I had to buy both of them at the agents at that time. What a difficult little thing to fit. So far so good with the D4D, touch wood. Good luck for you sir

Hi - Done & Dusted- got the one below eventually because of higher amps and reverse polarity protection.

Easy to install and works like a dream - can now control motor from slow to full blast.

    Very happy.
