This will give you equivalent tyre sizes to work with different rim diameters.

What Disco2tim said is 100% correct. I have however fitted 245/70R16's to these without any touching the arches or inner arms. Obviously it was unladen, but that only affects the rear, and there is plenty space in the wheelarch.

Going 17's would mean you'll have to get a lower profile affecting you ride quality, plus it possibly won't be an All Terrain. Depends on what you need...

Maybe it is due to me being in PE; perhaps we will get them in 2019

Do you have stock of the following sizes?

    205/70R15
    205/75R15

They are. Fitted them to the work's bakkie last week.

I like the look of them. Will probably fit them to the touareg once the grabbers are done. There is a kevlar layer so perhaps a bit stronger than the at/sa.

Ahhh...that explains it. I have the 205/70R15 in Adventure, but I see Goodyear still manufactures the AT/SA in 205/75R15

Hi-Q Durban Road in Bellville quoted me on 265/65/17 Adventures R1850 per tyre fitted, balanced and wheel alignment. They are running a December special where you get a discount card which can be used against the purchase.

15, 16 and 17" R200 card for two tyres. 18" and above, 2 x R200 cards for two tyres. Has to be Goodyear Branded though? Was that after the R200 was deducted?

Default Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure opinions

Fitted my set of Goodyear Wrangler Adventures today, went for the 205/75R15s. The thread pattern is definitely less aggressive compared to the AT/SAs I had on my Jimny.

They did well in the DriveOut tyre comparison test.

Anyone with some high mileage on these tyres? Considering them for my Defender as my BFG ATs need replacing.

Thank to everybody for all this useful info. I'm off to buy a new set of tyres but the budget will determine what I buy.

    Guys,

Today I had the Good Year Adventure fitted to my Discovery 4. I read the tyre shootout and what impressed my most is the sidewall strength due to the Kevlar. So when I looked at the tyres on my car I noticed it didn't have the Kevlar Badge. So I asked the lady at Hi Q and she phoned the rep. He said they don't have the Kevlar in the 19 inch. So according to me the tyre shootout should not be seen as a fair replection of the Good Year Adventure range. Hi Q has brochures of the tyres with Kevlar printed all over and includes the 19 inch in available sizes, yet the tyre does not have it in. I paid R600. 00 more per tyre than the grabber but feel it is false advertising from Good Year. Does anyone else have experience in this?

Are you sure they did not sell you the discontinued Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres? They look very similar to the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure tyres but the AT/SAs does not have the kevlar badge on the tyre.

Yes it does say Adventure on the tyre. They did phone the rep and I spoke to him, he says the Kevlar gets to hot and causes tyre wear in the 19 inch. I emailed Good Year for clarity, but no reply.

Well i suppose the question then is how good they are without the kevlar? Did they compensate for this? Thicker sidewalls etc?

I have a slightly different question. How safe will it be to drive extensive distances on gravel or sand while the tires are deflated? Will the kevlar not get to hot then?

I specifically went for these tires due to the sidewalk protection but must admit, I did not think of this.

I cannot see why it would...Kevlar is a synthetic material and the kevlar in these sidewals are braded like a mesh.

This is old design and nowhere near the standard of the new with Kevlar.
I had Kevlar on the front and "non kevlar" at the back of my 130 Defender and the "non Kevlar " wore down at about double the rate of the Kevlar and pieces broke off the tread. I sent them in for a claim and was paid out according to tread depth which was something I suppose.
I put them on after the Kevlar tires and claimed after about 20 000 km's. The older Kevlar tires still look like new.
Replaced with Kevlar and am very happy with them.
